Phoenix Coyotes coach and Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky knew about the nationwide gambling ring that involved his wife Janet Jones and assistant coach Rick Tocchet, the Newark Star-Ledger reported on Thursday, citing law enforcement officials who utilized state wiretaps.
The newspaper said investigators have no evidence that Gretzky placed bets, but they are trying to find out if Jones placed bets for him.
